This page is about reviewing the mortgage you already have. You can check your balance, rate, term and repayments against what is available now, and see an indicative estimate of the interest difference and possible time off your loan. Nothing here is a lender approval or financial advice.

Frequently asked questions

What is a mortgage review?
A mortgage review is a check of your existing loan — the balance, rate, term and structure — against what is available now, to see whether you could pay less interest or be mortgage-free sooner.
How often should I review my mortgage?
Most New Zealand homeowners review at least once a year, and always before a fixed term rolls off. A review takes minutes and does not commit you to changing anything.
Do I have to change banks after a review?
No. A review often results in repricing with your existing lender, restructuring your split terms, or simply confirming you are already well placed.
Is this financial advice?
No. Everything on this site is indicative, general information only. Figures are estimates based on the details you provide and publicly available or supplied rate information, and are not guaranteed. If you need advice, speak with an appropriately licensed financial adviser.
Will anyone contact me?
Only if you ask us to. At the end of the calculator you choose whether you would like a mortgage adviser to get in touch, or whether we simply keep your details and let you know later if your position is worth revisiting.
